2018-20 Ranger XP 1000 EBS Delete/Clutch Half What is this? Polaris offers a EBS delete kit and I call it a clutch half to replace the in my opinion POS EBS (Engine Braking System) mechanism and one way bearing. The kit contains the back half of the clutch, two way bearing, two washers for each side of the clutch and our STD white washer to put in also, click HERE for more info on the washer. Who needs it? Those with around 2000 miles or less or anyone that the outside half of their 2018-2020 Ranger XP 1000 primary clutch is still in good shape and the only issue is the EBS side of the clutch. Anyone having issues with both halves should be looking at the 21 non ebs complete clutch we offer. What does it do? Replaces the back half and making your primary clutch a non ebs primary clutch but making it much more reliable and no more ebs mechanism or crappy one way bearing to fail, You do lose full on engine braking but you will still have some to around 3-5mph due to the EBS helix in the secondary clutch. Includes HW STD White Washer? Yes read the tech article about the washer, most of these Ranger clutches have a overtravel issue and the simple washer fixes it. What do I reuse from my clutch? The outside half and bearing spacer, nothing else and will be adding our STD White Washer. The EBS mechanism, one way bearing and spring will be swapped out. What belt will I use? We hope our thicker and in our opinion HW belt but the belt does not change for this swap. |
