2014-15 HD XP 1000 Secondary Clutch

2011-2014 XP 900

This article covers both secondary clutches for the XP 1000 and XP 900 although they are two different clutches with different fitment and part numbers, the following info is the same more or less.

This secondary clutch is the very same clutch that comes on the 2014-15 XP 1000 and XP 4 1000 or the 2011-14 XP 900 from polaris made by the same company Team industry but what makes our clutch HD is, we are going to install the HD dampener in the 1000 and our High Temp High Lubricity secondary rollers in both before it ever ships out. We will also leave the sub-standard parts in the box in case you want them.

XP 1000 info only:

The secondary spider in the stock clutch is made from powdered metal, it does crack and break, when it does it takes out the whole secondary clutch. We have been selling the HD dampeners as replacements for a while and decided now that we have some secondary clutches in stock to install them ahead of time.  This is not a issue normally in the XP 900 but it can still be installed for you as a option, std on the 1000 HD secondary clutch from us.

Both XP 1000 and XP 900

The second part that makes them HD is we are installing our newest rollers in the clutch before hand. The polaris rollers are made from a softer material that has such a problem with flat spotting ruining the clutch and blowing belts that we will simply replace them with our own new high temp high lubricity rollers.

We have been selling our own rollers we make since Nov. of 2015 and as of today, none have flat spotted. So we feel like it would be best to replace the stock ones when the clutch is new and then it makes the secondary last much longer. Best to install them now, while the surface they run on is new making this clutch and rollers last much longer than stock.  The rollers handle the heat beat better and are naturally lubricated plus our tolerences are much tighter.

So, our HD secondary is less money than having to buy a complete one at Polaris which is around $480

Our secondary does not come with a helix or spring, you will use yours and the brand or OEM does not matter, whatever you have that works in yours works in this one due to being the same exact clutch just sold aftermarket without helix or spring.
